I am safe
With guns pointed at my head,
cocked to respond to the next move in the room.
The temple of my head bearing the weight of the room.
I am safe
As he covers my mouth with his hand.
Tears rundown my face, no breath.
Learn to numb, where to go?
Not here...go to the moon.
I am safe
As my nose bleeds into the crevasse of my mouth.
I taste blood. There's still life.
But how?
I am safe
As I welcome death into my physical womb.
I am safe
Covered by the weight of lies, the burdens of knowing the truth without a voice.
I am safe
As you rip my skin off, crumbling the bones underneath my purples and blues.
I am safe
As the screams deafen my ears, burning the digestion that falls into my being.
I am falling away
The safety was too much to hold.
Detach allows for movement.
Don't cry, smile.
But not with Sue - the smile is an indicator of the wealth she wants. She will take it from you,
and remind you it was never yours to begin with.
Safety is the blank stare into the abyss of all evil.
My Captain, O Captor.

This is so powerfully written.
